Booster Club

What does the Katy FFA Booster Club do?
Primary focus is to raise money to supplement the operating budget of the Katy High School Ag Department.  Fundraising activities include booster club membership, selling apparel and branded merchandise, organizing a silent auction and dinner and conducting the Katy Invitational Judging Contest.  All proceeds go to the FFA students and teachers at Katy High School to help offset transportation, lodging and meal expenses of state and national conventions, judging and leadership contests as well as provide additional classroom resources for our Ag teachers. 

Who should join the booster club and why?
Membership is open to parents, relatives, neighbors, former Katy FFA students and parents, businesses and anyone that is interested in helping Katy FFA students succeed in their efforts.  By joining, you will become part of the LARGEST FFA chapter in Texas.  Gained will be the opportunity to meet new friends with similar interests, opportunities to work alongside your child and maybe make a difference in their education.  You will have access to important information regarding FFA events and have a resource to help answer your questions.

Volunteering
Once a club member you will find multiple opportunities to volunteer throughout the 2023-2024 school year.  These include:

KISD Livestock Show and Rodeo Catalog Ad sales (October 2023) – collect and verify catalog ad orders.

RiverStar Farms Fruit / Meat / Cookie Dough Fundraiser (November 2023) – collect and verify orders

RiverStar Farms Fruit / Meat / Cookie Dough Delivery – early December 2023 – unload, sort and assist parents and students with order pickup.

Katy Invitational – March 28 - assemble team packages, setup L.D. Robinson Pavilion, help with registration, lead groups for contests, assist in concession stand and general clean up.

Animal Cutouts – January 2024 – cutout, paint and label animal cutouts.  These cutouts are hung above animal pens at the Livestock Show and Rodeo.

Katy ISD Livestock Show and Rodeo February 2024 – participate in rodeo, parade and sales committees  

This booster club is an 80 year old Katy High School tradition and still going strong!  It’s our members that make a difference in the lives of so many!
